On the 25th of June, Kirsty and Chloe of DSK along with Sydney (the Directors Daughter) and her friend Sophia climbed Mount Snowdon in Snowdonia National Park in Wales for The Mavis Nye Foundation.
They set off at 5.45. The weather was on their side to begin with however it made a turn for the worse. Other climbers were turning back and warning they should do the same, but they carried on. Mavis wouldn’t give up and neither would they!
After being knocked over by the strong winds, some of the journey was on hands and knees literally. They reached the summit around 10am after rain, gale force winds and hail stones. In total, they completed both legs of Mount Snowdon in 7hrs. Well done Ladies!
It was an incredible, challenging, and inspirational adventure, the views were out of this world, and unforgettable memories were made. Mavis and her foundation are still taking donations, so please help us raise funds for the research into Immunotherapy and to raise awareness to asbestos related cancers. “A true hero is one who rises after every fall” and Mavis you are our hero.
