DSK have been busy working on a full shutdown of gasifier, undergrates and overgrates, combusters, superheaters and boilers, economiser and lime hoppers at a waste to energy power station in the UK.

We carried out a complete clean using DISAB vacs and hand tools to all areas enabling us to blast the superheaters and boilers with recycled crushed glass. Using this media prevents damage to the inconel pipe tubes and clears the gas path to 100%. All lime hoppers cleaned and lime socks changed on all 6 compartments. All the above was completed on all 3 streams and under the time constraint.
